Troubleshooting Common Bot Issues

If your automated bot does not appear to be trading as expected, do not panic — most issues have a straightforward fix. Work through the checklist below before contacting support.

Troubleshooting Checklist

Issue What to Check
Bot is loaded but not placing trades Confirm the strategy is set to Enabled (not just loaded). In NinjaTrader, the strategy status should show a green indicator. Also verify that you are within the bot's configured trading hours.
No data on the chart Check that your data feed is connected. Look for the connection status in the bottom-right corner of NinjaTrader. A red or yellow indicator means the data feed is disconnected.
Daily loss limit hit If the bot has reached its daily loss limit, it will stop trading for the rest of that session. This is by design. The bot will resume the following trading day.
Strategy shows an error message Note the exact error text and contact our support team at help@ninjacators.com with a screenshot. This helps us diagnose the issue quickly.
Bot traded on the wrong instrument or timeframe Double-check that the chart the strategy is applied to matches the instrument and timeframe specified in the bot's setup guide.
NinjaTrader crashed or restarted After a restart, you will need to re-enable your strategies manually. They do not restart automatically.

Still Stuck?
